From August 19 to 21, 2026, TDT BIO participated in Pet Fair Asia 2026 in Shanghai, one of the most influential international events for the pet industry in Asia. At Booth W6S11, our team welcomed pet food manufacturers, distributors, brands, and industry professionals from different markets.
The exhibition provided an excellent opportunity for us to present our latest ingredient solutions, exchange ideas with industry professionals, and gain a better understanding of the changing needs of the global pet food market.
Throughout the exhibition, our booth attracted visitors interested in pet food ingredients, formulation development, and palatability enhancement.
Many visitors stopped by to discuss their current products and production requirements with our team. The conversations covered a wide range of topics, from raw material selection and product formulation to the practical application of palatants in dry pet food.
Some of the most frequently discussed areas included:
Cat and dog food palatability
Powder and liquid palatants
Palatant application in dry kibble
Hydrolyzed animal protein
Product dosage and application methods
Customized ingredient solutions
Sample testing and product evaluation
The active discussions at our booth gave us valuable opportunities to better understand the challenges faced by pet food manufacturers in different markets.
As pet owners become increasingly concerned about both nutrition and eating experience, pet food manufacturers are paying greater attention to the sensory characteristics of finished products.
A nutritionally balanced formula still needs to be accepted by pets. Aroma, taste, and overall palatability can therefore play an important role in product acceptance, particularly for cats and dogs with selective eating preferences.
At Pet Fair Asia, we introduced TDT BIO's range of pet food palatants, including powder and liquid solutions developed for different production requirements.
Our products are designed to help manufacturers enhance the sensory appeal of their formulas while maintaining an efficient and practical production process.
During the exhibition, one of the topics that generated considerable interest was the difference between powder and liquid palatants.
For dry pet food manufacturers, powder palatants can offer convenient handling, storage, transportation, and application. They can be incorporated into production according to the formulation and processing conditions.
Liquid palatants, on the other hand, can provide strong aromatic characteristics and are commonly considered for suitable liquid coating systems.
There is no single solution that works for every formula. The appropriate choice depends on factors such as the target animal, recipe composition, coating process, production conditions, and desired sensory performance.
TDT BIO works with customers to evaluate their specific requirements and recommend suitable solutions rather than simply providing a standard product.
Cat food and dog food can present different challenges when it comes to palatability.
Cats are often particularly selective about food aroma and taste, making palatability an important consideration in cat food development. For dog food manufacturers, palatants can also be used to enhance the aroma and sensory appeal of dry kibble.
TDT BIO provides solutions for both applications, including cat food palatant powder, cat food palatant liquid, dog food palatant powder, and dog food palatant liquid.
In addition to finished palatant products, we also provide hydrolyzed animal protein ingredients, which can be used as functional ingredients in pet food formulations.
One of the most valuable aspects of participating in an international exhibition is the opportunity to communicate directly with customers.
Instead of discussing products only through catalogs or specifications, our team was able to learn more about customers' actual production processes and formulation challenges.
Visitors shared questions related to:
Improving feed acceptance
Selecting suitable palatant formats
Optimizing application levels
Managing production conditions
Developing new pet food formulas
Evaluating samples before commercial orders
These conversations help us understand what manufacturers really need and provide direction for future product development.
TDT BIO specializes in the production and development of pet food palatants and hydrolyzed animal protein ingredients.
Our capabilities cover product development, manufacturing, quality control, and palatability evaluation. We also operate a dedicated palatability testing base for cats and dogs, allowing us to evaluate product performance in practical application scenarios.
Our current product portfolio includes:
Dog Food Palatant Powder
Dog Food Palatant Liquid
Other animal protein and functional ingredient solutions
By combining manufacturing experience with application testing, we aim to provide stable and practical ingredient solutions for pet food manufacturers.
The conversations at this year's exhibition also reflected several important trends in the pet food industry.
Manufacturers are increasingly looking for ingredients that can provide consistent performance, convenient application, and competitive cost-effectiveness.
At the same time, as the pet food market becomes more diversified, manufacturers need more flexible ingredient solutions for different formulas, animal species, product positioning, and processing technologies.
For ingredient suppliers, this means that simply offering a standard product is no longer enough. Understanding the customer's application and providing technical support are becoming increasingly important.
These market insights will continue to guide TDT BIO's product development and international business strategy.
Pet Fair Asia 2026 was an important opportunity for TDT BIO to meet both existing and potential partners.
We sincerely appreciate everyone who visited Booth W6S11, shared their ideas, discussed their projects, or expressed interest in working with us.
Following the exhibition, our team will continue communicating with customers regarding samples, product testing, formulation requirements, and potential cooperation.
We look forward to turning the conversations started at Pet Fair Asia 2026 into long-term partnerships with pet food manufacturers and distributors around the world.
